Founded in 1979, Stybel Peabody helps companies achieve “smooth leadership change.” There are three core products: (1) A form of retained search that integrates traditional retained search with an Onboarding Program for the price of retained search alone (2) helping companies strengthen CEO bench strength by working with high potential senior executives and (3) executive level outplacement.
Larry Stybel received his doctorate in organization behavior from Harvard University and is a licensed psychologist in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. His three areas of expertise revolve around leadership, career management, and corporate governance. Larry’s articles on these topics have been published by CALIFORNIA MANAGEMENT REVIEW, HARVARD BUSINESS REVIEW, and MIT SLOAN MANAGEMENT REVIEW. He is a contributor to HARVARD BUSINESS REVIEW ON MANAGING YOUR CAREER (Boston: Harvard Business School Press, 2002). He gives keynote addresses on these topics to trade groups and professional associations around the world.
Clients include 21% of the one hundred companies named by FORTUNE MAGAZINE as Best Companies to Work For in the United States.
Larry is a Governor of the Board of Governors for the Institute for Career Certification International and is on the Board of Zapoint, a venture funded technology company in the SaaS talent management space. He is a former Board member of the National Association of Corporate Directors New England Chapter and the National Human Resources Association. He was a co-founder of Lincolnshire International and its second President.
He producer and is Host for “Inside Leadership,” a production of the Center for Innovation & Change Leadership. Each month Larry interviews a significant leader in front of a studio audience of one hundred college freshmen. These interviews are downloadable on itunes.
Larry was made a Fellow in 2011.
